Cousin & Brother
Someone said sleep is the cousin of death. That must mean memory is sin's older brother. Sleep, like death, sees you go far away. But you come back. Memory, like, sin, follows you. I hope one day to wake up dead so maybe my sins will be forgotten, because when I wake up from sleep I only get a few moments to feel like a new-born baby before memory hits me, reminds me who I am and just what I've done. When you die you must go far if what awaits you is forgiveness and a new start. Though I don't know who went away and came back to assure us of that. Waking to memory suggests hell could be light, for there's little to wake up to that's worse than what you are and can't change. I do know a friend who went far and came back; he told me that, and I believe him.
