Evil archetypes are struck by the sensation of goodness.
A great example of narrative trash dressed up into a terrific film. With no logical consistency or strength, Bad Guys works on pure vibe, characterisation and visual splendour. The animation of action is beyond excellent and what little there is to the story is pretty rock solid. With no pretence and basic moral provocation, The Bad Guys simply suggests that the good that exists in moral beings cannot be supressed by facade, perception or will alike; goodness possesses an agency of greater power than consciousness. And such elevates the tiresome evil corporation angle on plot we see develop and pushed by ridiculous illogic. This nugget of story is thereby elevated by technical brilliance of surreal vibrancy and energy. Quite brilliant for a kids' film.
